Every year, on the last Sunday of September, thousands of people gather in New York City for the Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk. This event holds profound significance as it symbolizes Stephen Siller’s final footsteps from the foot of the Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001. It’s a powerful tribute to the 343 FDNY firefighters, law enforcement officers, and thousands of civilians who lost their lives on that fateful day.
