November Cause: The Bowery Mission

As we eagerly anticipate the warmth and joy of Thanksgiving gatherings with our loved ones, let’s take a moment to extend our hearts to those in our community who are less fortunate. This November, Infinite Cares is thrilled to reaffirm our commitment to supporting The Bowery Mission’s ongoing efforts to combat hunger and homelessness throughout New York City.

With a legacy dating back to the 1870s, The Bowery Mission has been a steadfast presence in providing aid to homeless and hungry New Yorkers, especially during challenging times when its neighborhood coined the term “skid row.” The Mission’s commitment to community welfare extends to their children’s programs, Mont Lawn City Camp & Mont Lawn Summer Camp, initiated in 1894. These programs offer a haven for youth, allowing them to escape the tenements and find respite in the summertime. Today, The Bowery Mission stands as one of New York City’s most impactful organizations, delivering essential services to those in need.

Over the past year, The Bowery Mission has continued to be an unwavering force, offering critical support during the Covid-19 crisis. They’ve served an impressive 258,000 meals to alleviate hunger, provided 56,000 nights of shelter, and witnessed 233 men and women actively participating in their Residential Programs, utilizing housing, counseling, classes, and various forms of support to make progress toward their goals.

Recognized as a beacon of hope and compassion, The Bowery Mission holds prestigious accreditations and affiliations, making it a trusted and highly regarded charity that aligns seamlessly with our values. Through our contributions, we aspire to be a beacon of hope, providing transformative assistance to lives that need it most, fostering not only sustenance but also joy and lasting productivity.
