In its ongoing effort to make a positive impact on the community, Infinite Consulting Corp proudly supports Eleventh Hour Rescue as the Infinite Cares cause for August, a nomination put forth by Amanda O’Connell.
Eleventh Hour Rescue is a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on saving the lives of dogs and cats at risk of euthanasia. Operating on a volunteer basis, Eleventh Hour Rescue steps in during the “eleventh hour” to rescue pets from shelters where they face imminent death. The organization provides essential medical care, safe housing, and a second chance at life through its adoption services. Without government or major corporate funding, Eleventh Hour Rescue relies on the generosity of volunteers, the community, and animal lovers. Despite the heart-wrenching stories and the ongoing challenge of limited resources, their commitment remains resolute as they strive to empty every cage and give each animal a chance at a happy, fulfilling life.
Infinite’s Head of Talent Acquisition, Amanda O’Connell, shares why Eleventh Hour Rescue is special to her:
“Many rescues will focus on highly adoptable dogs and cats, and while they also need loving homes, it’s often the older animals, the ones with special needs, or the ones that need a little extra love and training, that need the help the most…I’ve been a volunteer for over 8 years with the corporate donation team but was inspired to nominate them because of my foster-fail Columbo (Kosovo), a blind, 14-year-old Jack Russell Terrier. We do not know a lot about where he came from, other than he was a stray in Kosovo, but he’s been a loving part of our family for over 6 years. As a senior pup, he is not without physical ailments; we think he may have lacked medical care and sustained previous injuries due to some badly healed bones. All of which makes me wonder what would have happened if an organization like Eleventh Hour did not step in to help him. The passion and dedication that the Eleventh Hour volunteers have for helping animals is inspiring.”
